Dr Alice Walker
I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist based in Bristol. Aside from developing my Wilding Psychology work, I work in the NHS, and do some freelance teaching and facilitation. I'm also a proud auntie, cat custodian, community choir member and pastry addict.

I've always been at my most content when surrounded by nature, and before training as a psychologist I spent the first part of my career working for a nature conservation organisation. Through some of the projects I worked on, I began to more deeply appreciate the links between nature and wellbeing, and the relationship between human and planetary health. This budding interest ultimately led me to re-train as a clinical psychologist, and undertake further training in ecopsychology, nature-based practice and forest therapy. I'm also interested in (and concerned about) how we're collectively responding to the climate and ecological crises, and am a trained climate cafe listening circle facilitator.
My aspiration through Wilding Psychology is to support more people to develop their connection with themselves, others and the more-than-human world. I have a hope that all other health and care professionals can appreciate the importance of our relationship with nature too, for ourselves, for the people we work with and care for, and for the future of the planet and all its inhabitants.
